If your housings have been in service a few years you may notice the additional light scattering on pits in the glass and want to install replacement glass and clean the projectors of any haze. Since warranty involves you paying the return and replacement shipping, self insuring by just buying a second kit is probably cheaper and certainly less of a problem if you have a failure. Look at the total cost w/shipping since charges vary, making the more expensive kits very close in price to the cheapest. These are the same parts that were 3 to 4 times the price just a few years ago. The kits are unbelieveably cheap now, so don't think they are trash. Check for them on ebay as well to get the best deal. Although you sometimes see 9006 bulb bases melted in halogen headlights from poor connections, I think they make better HID bases. Occasionally, someone has to trim the plastic a little after comparing with the original halogen bulb base. The H1 base can be difficult to fit in the projector bulb holder that is made for a compact metal base but now has to accept this plastic base of the HID bulb. The companies supplying these have been in business ~10 years, so you seldom see a bad part from them. The kits sold in the US are all made in China AFAIK.
